COLONIC Plus® KUITU
(Fibre Tablets)

Description

  • COLONIC Plus® KUITU is a food supplement containing dietary fibre (DF) from sugar beet.
  • COLONIC Plus® KUITU contains dietary insoluble and soluble fibre beneficial for normal gatrointestinal function and normal level of blood glucose and cholesterol.
  •  DF is a complex carbohydrate of plant origin that escapes small-bowel digestion and so reaches the colon. It was assumed that the major plant polysaccharide, starch, is completely digested in the small bowel, and that DF consists of nonstarch polysaccharide. However, there is some evidence that nonstarch polysaccharide accounts for only about 25% of the true intake of DF. Therefore it is good to use DF-rich supplementation as a healthy care measure. A re-examination of the epidemiological literature has shown that although the strength of the protection given by DF may be disputed, there is no doubt about the protection afforded by dietary fibre.
